Rio de Janeiro: Probably the most disappointing turnout at the Rio Olympics 2016 games, Serbian tennis ace Novak Djokovic lost in straight sets against Argentina’s Juan Martin del Potro 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-2).

Looking at Djokovic, it was apparent that the tennis star was frustrated with his shots and returns all night. And it was Potro’s fierce backhand and his relentless attacks against Djokovic which led to many unforced errors from the Serb’s side.

Before the game, Potro was trapped in an elevator at the Olympic Village for 40 minutes following which the Argentine player had to be rescued by authorities.

Despite being absent from prominent title tournaments across the world, Juan Martin del Potro, however, is a well-established figure at the ATP ranking of tennis players. Potro had grabbed bronze at the 2012 London Olympics.

After the game, both the players were in tears, apparently for two very different reasons.
