New Delhi: Indian Olympian Sakshi Malik who won bronze in the Rio Olympics 2016 in the wrestling category finally touched down home on the wee hours of Wednesday. Despite the 3:50 am on the clock, the Haryana player was welcomed by prominent personalities at the Indira Gandhi International airport.
Sakshi was accompanied by the Haryana's Sports Minister Anil Vij who had abruptly visited Brazil to boost the morale of the players who were underperforming.

BJP ministers from Haryana: Kavita Jain, Rao Narbir Singh, Manish Grover and Vipul Goel were present at the airport to receive the young athlete.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will felicitate Sakshi with Rs 2.5 crore. The ceremony will take place in Sakshi's hometown Rohtak where the Haryana CM will meet the player and congratulate her and her family.
