New Delhi: Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham Hotspur's prudent manager, is hoping to reel in Newcastle's Moussa Sissoko by using midfielder Nabil Bentaleb as part-payment.
After Bentaleb asked to leave the club, Spurs are sure that the 21-year-old player would soon be leaving the Geordies. Closing in on the news of Bentaleb's imminent transfer, FC Schakle offered a sum of £10 million for Bentaleb, but Spurs, who are adamant about the player being valued at £15 million, refused the offer.
Now eyeing Newcastle's Sissoko, Spurs plans to use Bentaleb to create a financial lee way where they would secure Sissoko through an exchange bargain. With Newcastle asking a fee in the excess of £30 million for Sissoko, Pochettino is considering using the Algerian player's eventual exit to the club's advantage.
Tottenham Hotspur had an astoundingly successful at the last season of the Premier League where they were beaten to the title by Leicester City who surpassed them by few points.
