Madrid: Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo and Welsh Gareth Bale exercised on Thursday in the Real Madrid sports complex before travelling to Monaco for the draw of the UEFA Champions League and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) UEFA awards announcement.

Bale and Ronaldo are competing with Frenchman Antoine Griezmann for the UEFA award of best player in Europe, reports Efe.

Before travelling to Monaco, Ronaldo continued his specific training plan to return in the best possible condition after the La Liga break for international matches.

Real Madrid's coach, Zinedine Zidane, continues his preparations for the La Liga match against Celta Vigo on Saturday after defeating Real Sociedad 3-0 in the first round.

Fabio Coentrao and Karim Benzema are also still training while Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas trained in the gym, confirming his absence against Celta.
