New Delhi: Real Madrid has been reportedly approached by one of its main rivals Atletico Madrid with a £60 million transfer bid for striker Alvaro Morata, a move which has been rejected by the Los Blancos.

When English clubs Arsenal and Chelsea had tried to swoop in for the Real Madrid striker, Blancos had clipped a £60 million price tag on the player, making it virtually unfeasible for both the clubs to sign in the player.

But Madrid’s rival club Atletico Madrid took in the deal with manager Diego Simeone accepting the deal. But Madrid rejected the deal with a message which said that the club was not interested in selling its player any of their players to their neighbours.

Morata has played superbly for Real Madrid after returning to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer after two seasons at Juventus. His goal against Juventus sealed the win for Madrid.
