New Delhi: Indian freestyle wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt's bronze medal from the 2012 London Olympics in the 60 kg category will be changed to silver after reports confirmed that the silver medallist from the Summer Games in London, deceased Besik Kudukhov of Russia, had used banned substances.
The four-time world champion and two-time Olympic medallist Kudukhov died in a car crash in 2013 in southern Russia.
Kudukhov had bagged a bronze in the 2008 Beijing Games in the 55 kg category. He had later moved up to the weight category to 60 kg.
Moving up from bronze to silver, Yogeshwar Dutt will join Sushil Kumar as a silver medallist from 2012 in London.
Defeating Ri Jong-Myong of North Korea, Yogeshwar had secured a bronze medal in the London Games.
