New Delhi: Tottenham are reportedly interested in making an audacious move for Real Madrid's attacking midfielder Isco who was recently in transfer talks along with Colombian striker James Rodriguez.
However, when Real Madrid club president Florentino Perez expressed to manager Zinedine Zidane that he wanted James to stay with the Los Blancos, it loosened up the way towards Isco, who will likely be playing in White Hart Lane for the next season.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to reinvigorate his entire squad before the league officially kicks off and before the summer transfer window closes. And Real Madrid, if they are willing to see Isco play in a different turf, might loan out Isco for the rest of the season.
Chelsea is also reportedly interested in Isco who is an experienced player in the Champions League. But as of now, it is Tottenham who has the likeliest chance of acquiring the Spanish player.
The 24-year-old Isco was signed for £25 million from Malaga three years ago by Spanish club Real Madrid.
With Isco, Pochettino could be considering selling off striker Heung min Son who they acquired only last season to Wolfsburg.
