New Delhi: Manchester United's manager Jose Mourinho is having a bit of a tough time thinking about how he could take German player Bastian Schweinsteiger out of the team ahead of the deadline day for football transfer without drawing any untoward attention.
It was reported that Sporting Lisbon would be offered the former Bayern Munich player for a free club transfer with a heavily subsidised fee for the player. But when an adamant Schweinsteiger rejected Sporting's offer, Jose Mourinho was – regardless of it being a rumour – was furious.
Schweinsteiger has made it explicitly clear that leaving Manchester United is not on his agenda, and Mourinho also has confessed that Schweinsteiger will not be accepted into the first team at Old Trafford by any chance.
Schweinsteiger, who is 32-years-old, was signed by Manchester United from Bayern Munich for €9 million in the 2015 transfer window.
"My wish would be to continue playing for Manchester United. I have no personal problems with Jose Mourinho. One thing is for sure: I'm not going to stop playing football. I still believe in my own ability. I could still help Man United if given the chance," the player had said earlier.
