New Delhi: Brazil’s former football player Rivaldo will visit India to watch U-17 junior boys Subroto Cup International Football Tournament’s finals on October 22.
The 44-year-old former Barcelona player has played 74 international matches in a career spanning over 10 years. He was also part of Brazil’s World Cup winning squad in 2002.
“We are happy to announce that Brazilian football legend Rivaldo will be the guest of honour for the grand finale,” Air Force officials said.
The U-17 junior boys tournament will begin on September 14 and see participation from 98 teams including 10 foreign teams. Last year, football legend Pele had made an appearance at the closing ceremony of the tournament.
