New Delhi: Liverpool on Saturday launched a relentless but a tactfully brilliant attack against Premier League champions Leicester City to beat them 4-1 in Liverpool's home turf.
Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino scored a brace and his teammate Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana scored two wonderfully-executed goals to continue Liverpool's superb performance in the Premier League.
Although Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has remained somewhat rigid about executing changes in the team or signing big names with the Red Devils, he seems to have found a solid formation for each of the players.
Firmino scored at the first goal in the 13th minute, and the way the ball was handled between the players proved little to doubt the fact that Liverpool was not the same. Add to that a goal by Mane at the 31st minute which had a debilitating effect on the Foxes.
But it would be wrong to say that Liverpool was not without fault; a tactless handling of the ball from defender Lucas Leiva gave the easiest scoring chance for Leicester City as Jamie Vardy converted the ball into an easy goal.
Asked about the team's performance after the game, a pleased Klopp said, "We have to clear our minds for the next match. When we have lost in the past, we have always had a good reaction.”
