Arsenal will be facing Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday in the Champions League match

New Delhi: Arsene Wenger had been reportedly approached by French club Paris Saint-Germain on numerous occasions, but the long-time Gunners manager purportedly refused to move because he 'loved' Arsenal too much.

Wenger, who is now 66-years-old, has been at the pivotal head of the Premier League club since 1996. He could've returned home, but chose not to do so.

Arsenal will be facing Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday in the Champions League match. Both the teams are equally-favoured to win the match.

"I know well the owners, but I feel always I remained loyal to Arsenal Football Club because I think it's a club that has the qualities I love. And, that's why," said Wenger.

Asked about the upcoming game, Wenger had this to say, ""It's an important game, but I don't think it goes beyond two good sides playing against each other. There's no symbolism to it, no symbolic meaning to this match. We just want to pick up the three points."
