New Delhi: Leander Paes and his doubles partner Andre Begemann on Saturday lost to Dominic Inglot and Henri Kontinen in the final of the St. Petersburg Open.
Paes and Begemann began on a good note winning the first set by 6-4. However, they started to struggle as the match progressed eventually losing the set 3-6.
The match went into a super-tiebreak where Indo-German pair went down 10-12 to suffer second loss in the final of an ATP tournament. The pair had earlier suffered a defeat in the Winston-Salem Open final last month to Henri Kontinen and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
