India won't be participating in the Pakistan International badminton series: BAI

New Delhi: Taking into consideration the deteriorating relationship with Pakistan after the surgical strikes, the Badminton Association of India (BAI) has withdrawn its participation from the Pakistan International Series which will be held in Islamabad.

BAI president Akhilesh Das Gupta had earlier said that the no Indian player was going to participate in the BWF International series which is going to be held from October 18th to 21st.

"On behalf of the council members of BAI and the entire badminton fraternity, we express strong concerns and support towards the sentiments of our fellow citizens of India," the president said.

Pakistan has banned all Indian channels from being televised in the country as India bans Pakistani actors from the shores of Bollywood.
