Manchester United will be facing Stoke City at Old Trafford on Sunday

New Delhi: Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has asserted that he needs more time with the Red Devils to implement what he can do best with the squad.

With strings of defeat before securing much-deserved win against Premier League teams, the Man U coach has said that he cannot be expected to get the 20-time champions flying high without being given more time with the squad.

Manchester United will be facing Stoke City at Old Trafford on Sunday, a match where fans are expecting to witness a Red victory by large margins.

Speaking at a press conference, Mourinho said, “I need time. I need the players to play, I need to see them in different circumstances, I need to understand more about them. There are so many, and so much to learn about the players that only when you have worked with them a long, long time will you know them well. There is always a surprise behind the door when you have worked with the team for three or four or five months.”
