New Delhi: When a Chinese football club approached Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic with an enticing €100 million deal, the expected reaction was that the player would readily nod assent.
However, Zlatan's agent Mino Raiola said that Zlatan rejected the deal because he wanted to play in the Premier League and play for Manchester United.
"Ibrahimovic is the best. He turned down €100m net from the Chinese. He doesn't want more money, he wants to win," said Raiola.
Zlatan, who turns 35 today, has preferred to play for victory and for glory instead of doing it for money. The former PSG striker moved to Man U as a free agent after seeing off his contract with the French club.
