Agartala: Creating history by becoming the first Indian woman to enter the finals in Gymastics at the Olympics, Dipa Karmakar had missed the bronze medal by just a whisker. As a mark of respect for her excellent performance at the Olympics, Dipa was awarded a BMW by none other than master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
However, according to the family and relatives of Karmakar, it is getting difficult for them to maintain the luxurious car. Also, it is difficult to drive it on the roads of Agartala, which are narrow and busy.
Dipa Karmakar, PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik were awarded a BMW each for their performances at Rio Olympics.
Karmakar is presently in Germany for the upcoming Exposure tour and the Challenger Cup.
