New Delhi: After thrilling the viewers in its first season, Prosportify’s Pro Wrestling League is set to return in December.
The much-awaited second season of PWL will begin on December 15. The tournament promises to be bigger than last season and will see participation from eight teams and feature more than 100 top wrestlers of the world.
The inaugural season of PWL was a big hit in India drawing huge audiences who were delighted to see some of the best wrestlers in action.
President of Wrestling Federation of India, Brijbhushan Sharan Singh praised the venture for giving exposure to the players.
“PWL had direct impact on recent Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik, as she got an opportunity to study, share & compete alongside the best wrestlers in the world during PWL,” he said.
His thoughts were echoed by ProSportify’s Founder & Promoter Kartikeya Sharma.
“Wrestling is deeply rooted in Indian cultural ethos and is the biggest sporting export from India to the world. We were privileged to enthuse over 3 crore sports fans every day in Season 1 and promise to surpass our stellar performance in Year 2,” Sharma said promising a bigger and better event.
Putting up a splendid show, Mumbai Garuda had emerged victorious in the finals beating Haryana Hammers to take home the winners’ trophy.
