Singapore: Spanish Garbiñe Muguruza, seeded fifth, bid a nice farewell to the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Finals by defeating Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova, who had already qualified for the third round.

Muguruza, who had fallen in her two previous matches of the White Group, against Czech Karolina Pliskova and Polish Agnieszka Radwanska, respectively, at least said goodbye to Singapore with a taste of victory, reports Efe.

The world No 6 Spanish player defeated her Russian opponent on Friday 3-6, 6-0, 6-1.
