Muguruza, who had fallen in her two previous matches of the White Group, against Czech Karolina Pliskova and Polish Agnieszka Radwanska, respectively, at least said goodbye to Singapore with a taste of victory, reports Efe.

The world No 6 Spanish player defeated her Russian opponent on Friday 3-6, 6-0, 6-1.
