New Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday unanimously passed the decision to withdraw elite Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar out of the India vs England upcoming series in India.
Citing security concerns pertaining to the strained ties between India and Pakistan, the ICC decided that Aleem Dar would be withdrawn from the series.
Relationship between India and Pakistan have remained tense since the Uri attack where 19 Indian soldiers were killed. The Uri attack was subsequently followed by surgical strikes carried out by India across the Line of Control (LoC).
