New Delhi: Asked about Manchester United’s stellar performance against Swansea City in the Premier League on Sunday, Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho said that Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring in the game does not make any difference.

The Swedish striker, who is 35, scored a brace for Manchester United while star striker Paul Pogba scored one for the team. It was a heavy relief for Ibrahimovic who has suffered a goal drought for the past 6 matches.

When asked about Ibrahimovic’s performance, Mourinho said, “He’s a great player for the team. Okay today he scored goals, he didn’t in the past few matches, but that doesn’t matter at all. One thing is a striker who doesn’t score goals and doesn’t do anything else. Another thing is a striker that doesn’t score goals but does everything else.”

“During this period where he was not scoring goals he did everything else for the team. So I’m very happy that he’s back to scoring.”

Manchester United has been repeatedly criticised for performing lackadaisically and Coach Jose Mourinho has bore the brunt of United’s less-than-expected exchange in the pitch.
