New Delhi: Team India beat England by 246 runs on the fifth and final day of the second cricket Test held in Visakhapatnam on Monday.
Thanks to impressive performances by Indian bowlers, England were restricted to 142 for 7 at lunch. England were reduced to 87/2 at the end of day four in their 405-run chase on Sunday.
Ravichandran Ashwin and debutant Jayant Yadav picked three wickets each to put England in a spot of bother while India stayed in the driving seat.
Virat Kohli was declared Man of the Match for his brilliant knocks in both the innings.
Final score: India (455 and 204) defeat England (255 and 158).
With the win, the hosts lead the 5-Test match series 1-0.
