New Delhi: Former Liverpool Captain Steven Gerard is evidently not happy with the fallout of the clash which occurred between Arsenal player Ramsey and Paris St Germain’s Cavani.

In the Arsenal versus Paris Saint-Germain match which saw both the sides drawing a tough 2-2, a frustrated Cavani threw a slight punch at Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey which seemed to land on the player’s chest. However, the reaction from Ramsey was bit over-the-top, according to Gerard.

“I think it’s one of them things Aaron will look back on and he’ll be slightly embarrassed,” said Gerard when asked about the incident. He further went on and said, “I don’t think there’s any need for that reaction. The Welsh are meant to be tough!”

Not only Gerard, Manchester United’s Rio Ferdinand also slammed the 25-year-old for his exaggerated reaction.

“If this was a foreign player we’d be going mad. He’ll be embarrassed when he looks back at that,” said Ferdinand.

In the Champions League clash which was played out at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal and PSG both drew 2-2 against each other.
