Eighteen years ago on a dusty Feroz-Shah Kotla wicket, former Indian captain and spin talisman Anil Kumble registered his name in the record books by dismissing all Pakistani batsmen all by himself in the second Test of a the two-match series.
The current Team India coach became the second bowler in the history of Test cricket to take ten wickets in an innings.
Kumble recorded a remarkable spell of 10/74 when he dismantled Pakistan’s legendary batting order including the likes of Saeed Anwar, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Yousuf, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Saleem Malik.
His blistering bowling spell handed India a remarkable 212-run victory against Wasim Akram’s side in 19 years.
Reminiscing the most cherished memories of his cricketing career, Kumble retweeted a fan’s tweet:
Thank you for bringing back the memories of that game. One of my most cherished cricketing moment. https://t.co/UplFkpOpJe
