Singh was earlier receiving treatment at Delhi and had spent over 10 lacs for his treatment but after financial constraints forced him to sell off his property, he had to move to his ancestral house near Imphal.
Dingko Singh is a champion at the 1998 Asian Games and has also won the prestigious Arjuna Award in 1998 and Padma Shri in 2013.
