With speculations rife about Arsene Wenger retiring from his position with the Gunners in summer, Ian Wright might be the latest in the fray to confirm this speculation.

In an interview, Ian described how weary the 66-year-old Frenchman looked. Arsene Wenger has yet to renew his contract with the club, highlighting the fact that the manager might be mulling about his departure.

Arsene Wenger is one of the longest-serving managers in the world; under his tutelage, great players from Gunners have emerged to consecutively win the Premier League title. However, with recent games and Arsenal’s inability to conquer the top fray of the Premier League has sparked rumours about Wenger’s departure.

Football analysts feel that Wenger might be wearing out the team and might also be the reason why Arsenal hasn’t won the title for 12 years.

“I genuinely believe. I was with him for a few hours last night and we were talking. He didn’t say to me ‘I’m leaving at the end of the season’ but … I just get the impression in him and looking at him: ‘That’s it,” Wright said.

“I think that’s it. He actually mentioned when we were talking last night that he’s coming to the end. I’ve never heard him say that.”

Arsenal will face Hull City tonight at 6:00 PM (Indian Standard Time)
