IPL Verdict: Verdict does not concern me, Srinivasan tells NewsX

Several officials from the Chennai Super Kings and the Rajasthan Royals have already been proven guilty of betting on the cash-rich Indian Premier League and their teams now will witness sanctions from the Supreme Court-appointed Rajendra Mal Lodha panel. 

This is certainly a historic verdict as this is the first verdict that will be pronounced before the media cameras as far as sports and law in concerned.

•Rajasthan Royals have damaged the faith of BCCI and the sport and Raj Kundra has been found guilty of misconduct. He was placing bets through a known punter and was constantly in touch with bookies. He is now ineligible from taking part in cricket for five years and suspended for life from being involved with BCCI, says Justice Lodha on Raj Kundra

•Raj Kundra suspended for life in any kind of cricket matches, same as Gurunath.

•“Misconduct of Gurunath Meiyappan proven. He was part of CSK and by betting he violated anti-corruption code. It is difficult to accept Guru has passion for the game. He also suffered loss of 60 lakh in bets. If Meiyappan's reputation is tarnished, it is small compared to the damage done to the sport. He has been suspended for life from cricket activities”, says Lodha

•Gurunath Meiyappan suspended for life.
