Recently elected team India’s head coach Ravi Shastri is reportedly not convinced with the CAC’s decision to employ Zaheer Khan as the bowling consultant of the team.  The former team director who edged Close contestants Virender Sehwag and Tom Moody to bag the top job is not happy with the selection of his supporting staff and wants certain changes to be implemented before the team is ready to fly off to Sri Lanka for their next assignment.

BCCI has come forward to reveal that any decision on the future of Zaheer and Dravid as the team’s coaching staff will only be finalized on the consent of the head coach.  The two former Indian Cricketing legends have been offered the post of bowling and batting consultants respectively by the CAC, which comprises the trio of Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly and VVS laxman. The CAC looks after the recruitment of coaching staff for the Indian team.

Ravi Shastri is currently in London and is set to meet the Committee of Administrators (COA) on Monday. Various media reports have flowed in stating that Ravi Shastri wants Bharat Arun as the bowling coach of the team as he has worked with Arun before and trusts his abilities as a coach.

The COA will meet on 18th July as well, to discuss both Zaheer and Rahul Dravid’s IPL contract and it’s constraints before making any official announcement.
