A bright sunny morning at Emirates and guess who was back in the Arsenal strips, Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez. He was back in training after a brief absence due to flu.
Sanchez for long has been a top target for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain with both the teams ready to splash huge cash on the stellar forward. Right from the time he rejected his contract renewal with the London club, the 28 year old has been subjected to transfer speculations.
He was due to return back to training on Sunday following his break after a successful Confederations Cup campaign with Chile, but his arrival was delayed due to illness. The delay further intensified the speculations and left fans doubtful over Sanchez’s future with the club.
The Chilean trained separately from the Squad on Tuesday and is expected to team up with new signing Alexandre Lacazette when the Gunners take on Premier League champions Chelsea in the Community Shield clash.
Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City are the two clubs believed to be in race for the forward’s signature, but Arsenal manager Wenger has been confident on his stance that Sanchez is staying at Arsenal for this season.
The player was seemingly delighted to be back into training regime with his team but we are sure Arsenal fans will be happier when they see their favourite star back in action amid intense speculations of a move away from London.
