Indian skipper Virat Kohli is known for his rowdy character on the field, but the captain keeps reminding us of his modesty and respect for the game with his kind gestures towards his counterparts.

Winning hearts once again, Virat Kohli donated an autographed bat to Shahid Afridi Foundation. The foundation aims to provide better healthcare, education and sports facilities to the deprived and is founded by the former Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi.

The duo shares a very good rapport between each other and this gesture from Virat was fondly appreciated by Afridi, who took to twitter to thank the Indian captain for his wonderful support.

“Thank you @imVkohli for your kind gesture in support of @SAFoundationN. Friends & supporters like you ensure #HopeNotOut for everyone,” Afridi tweeted.

Kohli responded to the tweet and wished Afridi good luck with the progress of the foundation.

Earlier when Afridi had retired from international cricket, Virat gifted him his iconic number 18 India shirt with the signatures of him and several Indian players including Yuvraj Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Ajinkya Rahane.

The shirt which also had a message from team India, saying, “To Shahid Bhai, best wishes, always a pleasure playing against you” fetched Rs 3 lakh in an auction in London.
