British boxer Amir Khan has taken Twitter by storm after announcing a split with his wife Faryal Makhdoom. Things took an ugly turn after the boxer who married Makhdoom in 2013 accused her of cheating on him with a fellow boxer and British counter-part Anthony Joshua.

The current World heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been dragged into controversy by Amir who has claimed that it is the British who is secretly engaged in an intimate affair with Makhdoom.

The 30 year old took to Twitter to announce that he is separating with his wife, calling her a gold digger, he mentioned the marriage was against his family and friends will. He also seemed to have banter on the situation, quoting how his cheating wife just moved up in the weight class and ended up with just another boxer.

Khan didn’t stop there and took a further dig at Joshua, with another tweet saying “Mans like Joshua can have my left overs”

Makhdoom also replied to the boxer, but has since deleted the series of tweets where she said:

“Accusing other boxers just because your boxing career is finished. Man up amir.”

“I’m not the one who’s been in the papers every month with my pants down. Cheater! Bad role model, always around women, alcohol and then he calls himself a Muslim and runs a charity”, she said in another tweet.

Makhdoom with her tweets attacked the boxer and accused him of seeking attention as his boxing career is finished.

Joshua also dropped in to clarify his stand tweeting, “Bantz aside, I hope you guys can resolve your situation or this is a hack as we have never even met! Plus I like my women BBW #ItWasntMe

Earlier in a similar sort of Twitter outrage, Khan’s wife Makhdoom had last year alleged that she was bullied by the boxer’s family over her dressing choices.

Amir, the former light-welterweight champion hasn’t returned to the ring after a sixth round knockout loss against Mexican Canelo Alvarez in May.
