Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea will face each other in the FA Community Shield final match to be held on Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London.
Football in England will kick-off after 2-month long break with the Community Shield final, which is traditionally played between English Premier League champions and FA Cup winners.
Earlier in May, Arsenal triumphed over Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup final and Chelsea will be looking to avenge the humbling.
The London clubs have had fine pre-season friendlies, where both the clubs clashed once with Chelsea emerging as a 3-0 winner but the real test lies ahead.
Both the clubs have reinforced their squads with new signings and there will be much anticipation among fans to see the new recruits in action.
Arsenal secured full-back Sead Kolasinac from German outfit Schalke on a free transfer while they broke their transfer record by shelling out 52 million euros on French hitman Alexandre Lacazette.
On other hand, Chelsea broke the bank to sign Alvaro Morata and Tiemoue Bakayoko for a combined sum of 110 million euros.
Injuries and Suspensions
Antonio Conte’s men will be without their talisman Eden Hazard (broken ankle), Pedro (facial injuries), Bakayoko and Victor Moses (suspension).
While, there’s a string on injuries in Arsene Wenger’s camp with Aaron Ramsey (muscle injury), Mesut Ozil (knee problem) and Gabriel, Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin remain long term absentees.
When and where to watch:
The match will kick-off at 6:30 PM (Indian Standard Time) on Sunday.
It will be televised on Sony Ten 2.
