Rafael Nadal stormed into the finals of US Open on Saturday after beating Argentina’s Juan Martin del Potro 4-6, 6-0, 6-3, 6-2 in the semis played in New York.
Nadal was everywhere on the court and made tough work of del Potro in the game that lasted for two hours and 30 minutes. The world no 1 tennis player secured berth to his fourth US Open final.
The Spaniard got off to a shaky start and del Potro emerged victorious in the first set of the game. But Nadal then roared back into the game and mauled the Argentine, who defeated Roger Federer in quarter finals, in straight sets.
Rafael Nadal will face South Africa’s Kevin Anderson in the finals of the US Open. Anderson advanced to finals of the tournament after securing an easy 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Nadal’s compatriot Pablo Carreño Busta in semis.
