Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Finance Committee chairman Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday stormed off from the financial committee meeting midway as the role of the committee was not defined clearly by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rahul Johri.
Jyotiraditya Scindia questioned the role of finance committee. He questioned the CEO and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) that why they did not clarify the powers of the committee.
The meeting was called for all important decisions in relation for the pay hike of domestic and women cricketers.
Jyotiraditya Scindia gave 30 minutes to the CEO to define their role but no response from CEO came. It is expected that their will be no announcement on the pay hike of domestic and women cricketers today.
As per reports, almost a 100% pay hike for women cricketers was decided to be proposed in the meeting.
