Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones tried to take a sly dig at Team India following their 26-run victory (D/L method) over Australia in Chennai ODI only to be slammed by Twitterati.

“So I see India needed a bit of rain to win that game. Ok … bring on Game 2 @StarSportsIndia #Wearecoming #INDvAUS,” Jones tweeted after the game.

His attempt at sarcasm however did not go down well with Indian fans on Twitter who trolled him in return.

India are currently leading the five-match ODI series by 1-0 after registering a convincing win in the rain-affected match. Batting first, India had scored 281/7 in 50 overs. However, rain played spoilsport delaying the Australian chase who were eventually handed out a target of 164 runs in 21 overs. Aussies could only manage 137/9 giving India a lead of 1-0 in the series.

The next match of the series will be played at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Thursday.
