The BCCI has sent in this nomination for Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Wednesday, September 20. Under the captaincy of MS dhoni, India has won some extremely crucial ICC tournaments along with winning the 2011 cricket world cup when India became the world champion after 28 long years.
MS Dhoni has won Every ICC trophy as a captain. The golden boy from Ranchi made his mark in world cricket by winning the coveted ICC World t-20 World cup in his debut year as the skipper of Men in Blue.
Only a few legendary cricketers apart from Mahi have won the title of the third highest civillian honour of India, Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev and Rahul Dravid are amongst a few notable names who have been graced with the title.
MS Dhoni has already won Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, and Arjuna award in his glorious career and this nomination only adds to the legacy Mahi has created for himself. BCCI couldn’t have done better to justify their best servant’s contribution to the game.
