Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli is a superstar on the ground. The Indian batsman has won hearts all over the world with his extraordinary batting technique and flamboyant stroke play. In India, Virat is respected throughout and is n icon which the youth look forward to. His popularity on social media is not just confined to India, with cricketers and fans from around the world applauding his brilliant batting skills.

But with success comes criticism and Virat is no exception, the Indian captain has been targeted by trolls on social media in many instances and the latest one to receive backlash from the cricketer’s fans is a mocking tweet from the same Australian journalist who previously posted a picture of Kohli taking part in a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan event at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata and called him a ‘sweeper’ in his tweet.

Aussie journalist Bennis Stokes (As per his twitter handle) is back to his dirty tricks again and this time he has posted a picture of Virat, where the Indian captain can be seen giving a shock expression, the caption reads, “When you walk out to bat and see Amir has the ball”

This time around he has referred to the Pakistani Pacer Mohammad Amir, who enjoys a healthy competition field with Virat. The two cricketers on various occasions have praised each other and there is mutual respect between them.

Virat’s fans were quick to spot the tweet and once again they gave it back to the journalist and ripped him apart with some hilarious tweets.

A user slammed the journalist for his dirty tricks to get popular, “When u hav no job and your followers are not increasing so u decide to upload world famous cricketers pic just to get likes”, the user replied to Bennis Stokes.

The fans had a field day on twitter, slamming the journalist and reminding him of how good a cricketer Virat is.

This thrashing should probably put a full stop to Bennis Stokes’ any further digs at Kohli through his Twitter.
