NEW DELHI: The India-Pakistan match on Sunday certainly was a big show where fans had fastened their seat belts until it got over in the late afternoon. While several big players across the globe boosted the confidence of the Indian Cricket Team at the ICC World Cup 2015, in the blue corner was also ace tennis player Roger Federer.
33-year-old star player, Roger Federer was in India last year for the International Premier Tennis League (ITPL) and fell in love with the country.
While he enjoyed eating ‘naan’ and played with ‘Cocktail’ actress Deepika Padukone and extended some Bollywoodmoves, it was totally justified for Roger to ‘Bleed Blue’ and cheer for India as the two arch rivals India and Pakistanplayed at their opening innings at the World Cup on Sunday.
The Swiss great, the winner of 17 grand slams shared his picture on Facebook where he can be seen unpacking aTeam India jersey with the #tag #BleedBlue. He posted the picture with a caption that read, ‘Dressing up for a Gentleman's game today’
The image that won over two lakh likes and some 30, 000 shares has stamped that Federer has already made a place in the heart of every Indian, if he had not by now.
