MP: Woman allegedly gang-raped, accused absconding

Rajgarh: Four persons gang-raped a woman after abducting her from her house at Cheebadkalan village in the district, police said on Saturday.

The incident occurred yesterday.

The accused took away the victim, a married woman, forcibly in a jeep and raped her after threatening to kill her if she raised alarm, said sub-inspector Rajansingh Gurjar of Bhojpur police station.

Later they dumped her at a secluded spot, from where she managed to reach the police station.

A case of rape, abduction and other relevant offences was registered against Bhairosingh Sondhia, Chandersingh Sondhia, Dinesh Pujari and Bharat Singh Sondhia. Another woman also was named as an accused for aiding them, said the police.

All of them are absconding.
