MOVIE REVIEW: Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam
Rating: * *

Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam
has no script or storyline per say. It is a khichdi.

What begins as whimsical romance of a debauched theatre actress (Mallika Sherawat), married to an old, asinine theatre actor (Paresh Rawal) and Rahul Bose (an undercover agent) soon turns into a police- underworld chase bringing in dons, police, RAW et all.

The attempt was definitely to make an all out comedy with even the Dons and criminals delivering puns and one-liners that evoke laughter. Laugh you will, but only to get bored in between with saucy songs and a semi-naked Mallika Sherawat.

The movie which is actually based on a theatre group would have done best as a play. Barring that Mallika would have got no opportunity to flaunt her well-sculpted figure or lip lock with Rahul Bose.

As for the actors, Paresh Rawal plays his ageing actor stuck with a sexy wife to the T. Rahul Bose is pretty much wasted. After Shourya, expectations from him have definitely gone up. Mallika Sherawat does a fair job of her sexy-depraved wife who actually loves both her husband and lover.

The movie is a good time pass only when you are really bored and can burn some money watching buffoonery.
