Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy crashed out of the euro 891,000 ATP Indoor event but Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles advanced to the quarter-finals with an easy win.

The third seed Indo-Czech pair were stunned by unseeded Germans Christopher Kas and Philipp Kohlschreiber. Paes and Dlouhy went down 3-6, 0-6 to bow out of the event.

The second seeded Bhupathi-Knowles pair though had no difficulty in dumping the Spanish pair of Marcel Granollers and Feliciano Lopez 6-4, 6-1 in their first round match.

They next face Jordan Kerr of Australia and Finn Jarko Nieminen for a place in the semi-finals.
