Top seed Saina Nehwal stormed into the final of the girls singles event of the World Junior badminton championship, even as compatriot RMV Gurusaidutt crashed out in the semi-finals in the boys category on Saturday.

Saina had no problems in quelling the challenge of third seed Shixian Wang and took just 37 minutes to sent packing the Chinese 22-20 21-12.

The Beijing Olympics quarter-finalist Indian will face ninth seed Sayaka Sato in the summit clash on Sunday.

However, another Indian, fifth seed Gurusaidutt's journey in the tournament ended as he went down fighting against third seed Zhengming Wang of China 16-21 21-17 17-21 in a thrilling encounter that lasted 47 minutes.
