36-year-old Sandeep Kumar won the bronze medal in the 10,000m race walk event at the CWG 2022

Sandeep Kumar won bronze medal in 10,000m race walk event in Birmingham ,CWG 2022 on Sunday. Sandeep finished the race in third place with a personal best time of 38 minutes and 49.21 seconds.

Canada’s Evan Dunfee received gold medal who set a new Games record with a timing of 38:36.37s while Declan Tingay of Australia got bronze medal who completed the race with a timing of 38:42.33. With a timing of 43:04.97, Amit, the other Indian competitor in the 10-man field competition, came in last place.

Quentin Rew of New Zealand was disqualified after 5,000 meters for several violations, making it a nine-man race.

Sandeep was first running ahead for the first 1,000 meters and then slipped to the third position. He again took first place and held it for half the race. But later by the 6,000m mark, he dropped again and finished third.
