Adani Group announces to invest Rs 65,000 cr in Rajasthan

To establish a large 10,000 MW solar power capacity and create over 40,000 direct and indirect jobs, Adani Group would invest Rs 65,000 crore in Rajasthan.

Over the next five to seven years, Adani Group would invest Rs 65,000 crore in Rajasthan to build a massive 10,000 MW solar generating capacity and generate over 40,000 direct and indirect employment.

During the Invest Rajasthan 2022 Summit’s opening session on Friday in Jaipur, Adani Group Chairman stated, “Combining all existing and prospective projects, we anticipate spending an extra Rs65,000 crore in Rajasthan over the next 5 to 7 years and creating over 40,000 direct and indirect employment.”

Anil Agarwal, the chairman of Vedanta, Gautam Adani, the CEO and MD of Tata Power, Praveer Sinha, the CMD of DCM Shriram, and Lakshmi Mittal, the chairman and CEO of ArcelorMittal, were among the prominent business leaders present at the inauguration.

In order to provide a favourable and secure environment for the industries, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot stated on Friday that the state will establish the Rajasthan Industrial Security Force (RISF), similar to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
