To commemorate 75th anniversary of Independence, army also requested every resident to fly the flag at their residences from August 13 to August 15. Ministry of Culture has launched “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign to commemorate India’s 75th anniversary of independence. Invoking a sense of patriotism in people’s hearts and raising awareness of Indian National Flag are the goals of programme.

Earlier on July 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked people to support Har Ghar Tiranga movement on Twitter.

“Let’s make the Har Ghar Tiranga Movement stronger this year as we celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. During the 13th through 15th of August, hoist the tricolour or display it inside your houses. We shall feel more connected to the national flag thanks to this movement” he added.

Nodal Agency for “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign is Ministry of Culture, and Ministry will ask the State Governments for assistance in mobilizing all available resources, housing and urban development departments, and local organisations like municipal bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions to further the campaign’s objectives.

In order to successfully promote “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign and help others hoist flags in their homes, Culture Ministry is depending on all members of the public to take an active role in doing so.

Government of India will host a number of activities as part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav to celebrate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. All over the nation, Mahotsav will be observed as a Jan-Utsav in tradition of Jan-Bhagidari.

When speaking to a group at Sabarmati Ashram in 2021, the prime minister said that the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” would begin 75 weeks before August 15, 2022, and would go until August 15, 2023.
