Doval stated that there is a need to strengthen cooperation against terrorism without any reservations. He praised the ongoing cooperation in the BRICS Counter-Terrorism Working Group. He was speaking at the BRICS NSAs’ virtual meeting on Wednesday.
The BRICS countries are India, Brazil, Russia, China, and South Africa.
He asked the BRICS nations to continue cooperation against the challenges of pandemics and climate change. Doval emphasised the importance of collaboration in the areas of information and communication technology (ICT) security (preventing terrorists from using it), outer space, and maritime security.
On the takeaways from the pandemic, Doval asked BRICS nations to ensure “Trusted and resilient supply chains.”
