Actor Suhani Bhatnagar, 19, of Dangal, passed away, shocking her co-stars and family. In the biographical sports drama film directed by Aamir Khan, which is based on the life of former wrestler Mahavir Phogat, the actor portrayed the younger Babita Phogat. Babita paid Suhani’s family a visit on Monday to express her condolences. Suhani was admitted to the ICU at AIIMS in New Delhi, where she passed away on Friday. Babita posted images from her conversations with the Bhatnagars. “Visited the Faridabad residence of Suhani Bhatnagar, who played my younger character in the film Dangal,” is how she captioned the photo in Hindi. I sent her family my condolences after learning of her tragic death. Om Shanti.

Suhani, who left the film business following the huge box office success of Dangal, was found to have a rare autoimmune disease that grew worse over time. After being admitted to the AIIMS hospital in New Delhi, she eventually passed away from the illness as a result of fluid buildup in her lungs. Aamir Khan, who portrayed her father in the 2016 movie Dangal, expressed his sympathies via the Instagram account of his production company.

The banner’s statement read, “We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away. Our heartfelt condolences to her mother Poojaji, and the entire family Such a talented young girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani. Suhani, you will always remain a star in our hearts. May you rest in peace,” they shared. Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari said in a statement, “Suhani’s passing away is absolutely shocking and heartbreaking. She was such a happy soul, so full of life. My deepest condolences to her family.”

Dangal’s adult Babita Phogat, played by actor Sanya Malhotra, expressed her shock at Suhani’s passing as well. She had posted, “I can’t believe it’s real,” on Instagram. Nobody was identical to our Suhani. She was far too young to have left us so soon, and she was so special and talented. Peace be with you, Chotu. My sincere sympathies go out to Puneet, Pooja, and the whole family.
