PM Modi to attend France's Bastille Day Parade as Guest of Honour

PM Modi will also deliver joint initiatives in the field of climate change, biodiversity loss, and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the Guest of Honour at this year’s Bastille Day Parade on July 14 in Paris. The Indian Prime Minister will attend the parade on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the India-France Strategic Partnership.

French President Emmanuel Macron has invited Prime Minister Modi to attend the Bastille Day Parade in Paris. According to the official release, the Indian military force contingent will march alongside their French counterparts in the Parade.

Bastille Day Parade major highlight of PM Modi’s tour of France

Prime Minister Modi’s visit is intended to usher in the next chapter of the India-France Strategic Partnership by establishing new and ambitious goals for our strategic, cultural, scientific, academic, and economic collaboration across a wide variety of industries as per the official statement.

France and India uphold the goals and tenets of the United Nations Charter, which serve as the cornerstone of collaboration between the two nations in the Indo-Pacific region, and share a vision for peace and security, particularly in Europe and the Indo-Pacific.

Apart from the Bastille Day parade, this historic visit of PM Modi will also deliver common initiatives in order to respond to the key challenges of our time, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, and will be an opportunity for India and France to reaffirm their commitment to multilateralism, including in the context of India’s G20 Presidency, the official statement read.
