Bihar MLA Sparks Controversy Over His Comments on Laxmi Pujan

Lalan Paswan, a BJP MLA from Bihar, stirred uproar by making strange claims regarding Hindu deities.

Lalan Paswan, a BJP MLA from Bihar, made a comment that incited uproar. At Shermari Bazar in Bhagalpur, protesters burned the effigy of the BJP MLA. Paswan, an MLA from the Pirpainti Assembly constituency in the Bhagalpur district, questioned Hindu beliefs and supported his claims with facts.

Are Muslims not wealthy if they don’t worship the goddess Lakshmi? Saraswati is not worshipped by Muslims. Do Muslims not have any scholars? Do they not train to be IAS or IPS?”

The BJP leader claimed that people believe in anything. He said that “Atma and Paramatma” is only a matter of human belief.

He stated: “It is a goddess if you believe in her; else, it is just a stone idol. Whether we accept the existence of Gods and Goddesses is entirely up to us. At come to a logical conclusion, we must think scientifically. Your intellectual power will rise if you quit believing.”

“Bajrangbali is revered as a powerful deity who bestows strength.

Bajrangbali is not worshipped by Christians or Muslims. Are they not strong enough? All of these things will come to an end the day you quit believing “Paswan threw in.

When Paswan reportedly revealed a private chat with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Yadav, he first came to attention.
