Delhi court on Thursday granted National Investigation Agency (NIA) with 10-day police custody of Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with Siddhu Moose Wala murder case.

CIA is looking into any linkages between Delhi-NCR mafia and terrorist organisations. After hearing agency’s representations, Special Judge (MCOCA) Shailendra Malik of Patiala House Court granted NIA 10-day detention. NIA detained Lawrence Bishnoi for 12 days.

During the hearing, agency informed court that it was conducting an investigation into Sidhu Moose Wala’s case and required his detention.

“What is the locus of NIA in the Moose Wala murder case?” judge inquired.

According to CIA, the material is coming from Pakistan, and people like Moose Wala are targeted. Linkages are being sought as an inquiry into the bigger issue is underway.

Earlier court served notice on Lawrence Bishnoi and three other defendants in a plea asking authorization to gather voice samples from them. Delhi Police made this application.
