Congress politician Digvijaya Singh entered the contest for Congress President on Thursday.
Singh remarked outside his home today, “Today I have come here to get the nomination form and may file it tomorrow.”
The former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh arrived in the national capital late last night after travelling to Kerala to meet with Rahul Gandhi during the party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Only Shashi Tharoor has announced his candidacy for the position thus far.
The deadline for submitting nominations for the top congressional position is September 30, and the election will be held on October 17.
